Tony Dicus

Teaches pairs, singles, field moves, and choreography. A member of USFSA, PSA with ratings in Sports Science. Has 12 years of coaching experience. Worked with Olympic and World coaches like Don Laws, Carlo Fassi, and Barbara Wagner. Enjoys working with skaters of all levels - from beginner to senior level.
Coaching philosophy: I believe that figure skating is a life-enriching sport that can teach children as well as adults the importance of delayed gratification. Hard work does pay off in the end.

Teresa Dale

Teaches off-ice training and choreography. Trained in Atlanta at the Ruth Mitchell Dance Co. and in New York @ American Ballet Theater. Was a swing dancer in the Broadway musical "Pippin". Worked in musical theater at Alliance Theater with notables such as Holly Hunter and Samuel Jackson. For 10 years was a choreographer/director/performer at Upstairs @ Gene and Gabe's Cabaret. Recieved a nomination from the Atlanta Circle of Drama Critics for her work in "Della's Diner", the second longest running musical in Atlanta history. Worked with the Wit's End Players with Jan Hooks and Bonnie & Terry Turner (who wrote "Wayne's World, Austin Powers, That 70's Show"). Also skilled in Pilates, Teresa is delighted to be training figure skaters here at The Cooler as well as choreographing shows at Pace Academy and benefits for Project Open Hand.

 

Laurie Jackson
Laurie began skating at the age of 8 in Atlanta, Georgia after seeing Dorothy Hammill perform in the 1976 Winter Olympic Games.  "I saw Dorothy take the ice and sat in awe while picturing myself jumping and spinning across the ice just like she did!!"  Thus began a lifelong passion for Figure Skating.  Laurie competed until the age of 16 thruout the southeast and in Juvenile Ladies in the 1979 South Atlantic Regional Championships in Wilmington, Delaware finishing 5th overall out of 24 skaters. 

Began teaching in 1988 in the Atlanta area and has been at the Cooler since it opened in 1997. Teaches all ages from 3 years old to Adults, USFS and ISI National competitors, instructs the following disciplines: Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Choreography, Showcase, Spotlight, Footwork, Synchronized Skating 

Her accomplishments include the following: ISI Gold rated, PSA Basic Accredidation Exam, PSA Sports Science and Medicine Exam, USFS Novice Freestyle, USFS 5th Figure Test, USFS Silver Dance Test, ISI Freestyle 8 Test, ISI Figure 6 Test, ISI Ice Dance Test.

Coached ISI National competitors, ISI Synchronized Skating World Championship team - 1st place team, USFS Eastern Sectional Synchronized Skating Team - 3rd place team. Former Skating School Director at the Cooler from 2001 - 2002. Synchronized Skating Director at the Cooler 1997 - present. USFS, ISI, PSA member

Anya Lozovik-Martynenko
Anya Lozovik-Martynenko was born in Odessa in the Soviet Union. In her competitive years, she was a member of both the Ukraine and USSR National Teams and holds medals from both National and International competitions. Anya was coached by Olympic coaches Galina Zmievskaya and Valentin Nikolaev. After graduating Odessa State Pedagogical Institute, she started her coaching career. Anya was a coach of the National Team of Ukraine and senior coach of the Odessa Olympic Figure Skating Club in single skating. In 2000, she moved the coach at The Cooler. During her years of coaching, she has had regional medalists. She also had 2 students compete at the 1998. 1999, and 2000 World Junior Championships and Junior Grand-Prix. Anya is an accredited member of the Professional Skaters Association, a member of USFS, and the Atlanta Figure Skating Club. In 2006, Atlanta FSC awarded her the Pinky Ager Award (Coach of the Year). 

Tami Mickle
Teaches recreational and competitive singles freestyles, moves in the field (pre-preliminary through senior), and program choreography. Has 28 years of experience with all ages and levels. Is a PSA member with a master rating in Sports Science and Freestyle since 1998, and a level 3 competitive coach since 2003 (regional, sectional, junior national, adult national - singles and pairs, national synchro competitors). USFSA National Committee member. A life member of Atlanta Figure Skating  and Board of Directors. Also, Gold Figures and Freestyle, Silver Dance, and ISI Gold Rating.

Herbert Wiesinger
Has a PSA master rating in Moves in the Field and Freestyle and is certified in pairs. Former German National Novice and Junior Men's Champion, 3 time German National Pair Champion, third Europeans, fourth Worlds, and fifth Olympics (1972). Prinicpal preformer with European Ice Theater, Holiday on Ice, Ice Follies, and Disney on Ice. Coached skaters at U.S. and Swiss national championships, Europeans, Junior Worlds and Worlds. Choreography for Jamal Othman, Switzerland competitor at Worlds and Olympics. Coach at the Cooler since opening in 1997.
