Cooler Hockey Academy
Our goal at the Cooler Hockey Academy is to teach fundamental skills, fair play, respect, teamwork, and leadership. Our coaches bring NHL, Minor league, Collegiate, Junior, and European experience to help our players get the tools they need to bring their game to the next level. Hockey is a challenging and exciting game. Great lessons can be learned from it, both on and off the ice. Our instructors will assist your son or daughter to experience how great this game truly is.

Power Skating and Skill Development
The first part of this session will focus on the fundamentals of power skating: balance, edge control, explosive acceleration and powerful strides. The latter part will consist of skill development drills which will be emphasized through stickhandling, passing, and shooting. This camp will be open to ages 7-11.
Creative Stickhandling and Scoring
This camp will focus on showing the player many different stickhandling maneuvers and techniques. They will learn how to be more effective while carrying the puck in a game situation, as well as ways to take advantage of scoring opportunities and countering how a goaltender is taught to react in certain situations will be demonstrated and worked on during sessions. This camp will be open to ages 10-15.
Goaltender Camp
Goaltenders will be rotated through stations to learn different puckstopping methods. The instructors will help them enhance their abilities in all aspects of their position. Academy coaches will focus on proper angles, lining up with the shooter, reaction and respense texhniques, visual and mental awareness, coordination and agility. They will achieve this through fun and exciting drill progressions. The goalies will also get extra ice time in the morning and afternoon player camps. This camp will be open to ages 7-16.
Coaches
Scott Pearson
Scott Pearson, first round draft pick, 6th overall to the Toronto Maple Leafs, is the head instructor of the Cooler Hockey Academy. Scott brings his NHL experience from teams such as Quebec, Buffalo, Edmonton, and the New York Islanders. After winning two Turner Cup championships with the Chicago Wolves in the IHL, Scott finished his professional career in the German Elite League. Scott also has an extensive coaching background from years of instructing at the famous Huron Hockey Schools in Canada.
Dan Cameron
Dan Cameron has 26 years of coaching experience at the Professional, Junior A, High School, and minor level. He has been succussful at guiding his teams to championships at every level. Throughout his years, he has coached over 100 players that have gon on to the NHL. Coach Cam has privately tutored current NHL stars such as Eric Lindros, Jeff O'Neill, Rick Nash, Scott Mellanby, and many more. He is extremely knowledgeable, an excellent teacher, and a tremendous motivator.
Dan Bouchard
Dan Bouchard brings 35 years of hockey experience with him. He enjoyed 16 years as an NHL goalie playing 655 games including 25 career shutouts. He played for such teams as the Atlanta Flames, Calgary Flames, Quebec Nordiques and Fribourg Gottren in Switzerland. As head coach of the Life University team from 1996-2002 he helped lead the team to 5 campionships as National Champions of American Collegiate Hockey. His knowledge of the game both on and off the ice is a tremendous addition to the Cooler Hockey Academy.
